Scrapbooking borders are necessary because they do not only frame a page beautifully but can determine themes. Without borders, a page seems to extend endlessly. You can use markers to draw lavish borders in plain black-colored or fanciful-colored ones. Punching decorative holes or even fabrics can make wonderful patterns too. Like fashion, borders connote taste and style. Each person is different in this aspect. Some would want it in dark colors with symmetrical patterns or straight edges, but others would prefer it with cutesy shapes with decorative fonts. Rubber stamps can also be used to make the borders. Different shapes or images maybe stamped on the sides. Using colors will greatly enhance the border.

Stencils are also good materials to make borders along with pens. Die cuts can be made with shaped stencils and using exacto knives.
